need从语法上就不通,应该加一个to不定式才可以接动词ask.一个句子里不能有两个谓语动词,所以这里只能选助动词.剩下的三个都是助动词,从语法上说都是可以的.所以就从语境、语义上去分析.
must是说,你必须去问那个警察,这个没有必须的,问谁都可以.
should是说,你应该去警察,有颐指气使的意思,不礼貌.中国英语考试里一向很注重西方国家的礼仪、语气的问题.有一些也许他们平时说的话,但是我们的考试里绝对不可以这么说.所以淘汰这个不礼貌的选项.
may是说,你可以去问警察.这是一个建议,语气很温和,也很符合语境.一看就是中国英语教材的标准.
