Still The Best Steak Of All Time @ Coliseum
July 30, 2008 – 10:10 am
It has been a while there are no update from the chamber of VIP bloggers. I have been meeting up the great full time blogger BB Community. I really give him my salute as he is so daring to quit his job as an IT administrator and has become a full-time blogger, this takes a very great courage.
SlowCatchupKuan, now has become a movie reviewer instead of a jukebox blogger. I still love her previous blogs that played music while I was working late at my customer’s place.
The Zaplang blogger, Merdurian is now in Brisbane. Previously addicted to DOTA, but now is out of the country to further her studies. Congratulations to Merdurian upon her studies.
BabyOnBoard - it has been a while since I heard from him? Not sure what is he up to now?
For myself, I am still the same food blogger who is still finding ways to work out on internet marketing. I have met up with BB Community at Borders bookstore in Time Square KL last 2 weeks. Now he’s with hair :).
After the meeting with BB community I have worked my way out to Coliseum Cafe and Hotel at Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman. I have been writing about this on my previous post, Jln T.A.R - Best Steak in town - Colisuem Cafe & Hotel. I have come back to it again as I feel that it is still the best compared to other steak houses. The outside of Coliseum Cafe & Hotel looks very old, it seems like a pre-war building.
The business hours for Coliseum cafe is from Monday - Friday 10:00am to 10:00pm. Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday is from 9am to 10pm. For those who want to call for reservation the number is 03-26926270.
Today I tried out Sizzling Fillet Steak (Grilled), which is RM37.90. It is considered cheap for NZ-imported beef.
The next item that I tried out was the Grilled Tenderloin which is also RM37.90.
Bread and butter provided are not included in either one of the meals. When the captain asked us if we want to include bread and butter, we thought it came with the set, but it’s not. If you are not a big eater, please do not consider this as the bread and butter cost RM4 for 4 slices.
The salad came together with the Sizzling Steak. Nice, I just love the bowl as it really looks antique.
Preparation of the sizzling steak is done infront of you as the chef places the fresh steak to the hot pan. Remember to have your steak “Medium-cooked” as the tenderness of the steak will be just nice and also juicy. Please note that they don’t have “medium-rare”.
Smoke blown to your face. For ladies who want to do facial theraphy, order this meal and it comes for FREE.
The steak is being served freshl while the gravy is still sizzling on the hot plate.
The non-sizzling Grilled Tenderloin Steak, although the presentation is not as great as sizzling’s, the taste is in fact better. For those who enjoys steak the Grilled Tenderloin is a must-try as the outer layer is not as hard as sizzling steak. The overall steak is equally grilled.
Close-up shot on the Grilled Tenderloin steak.
The inner part of the steak. Juicy and soft, it really melts in your mouth.
Captain Ho, one of the senior crews who has been serving in the restaurant for more then 5 decades. I believe he is as old as this building. By the way, he is not the only senior crew there. Most of the crew there are all senior citizens. The boss must be treating them very good and that’s why they can stay there for so long.
The door arch and also the floor area.
The certificate of authorisation to show that the beef are imported from New Zealand.

Famous Raw Fish Porridge - Petaling Street
July 23, 2008 – 7:38 am
After my previous post about iKopi at Petaling Street, it has been a while that I haven’t really blogged about the great food in Petaling Street (Chinatown). There are a lot of great food along Petaling Street, such as Portugal Kari Ikan Panggang (Portuguese Grilled Curry Fish) and also Lo Han Gor (Chinese Herbal Tea). Well, today I am not going to blog about that yet as they are too commercialised already. I will consider about that may be after sometime when I have finished with all the non-commercialised or newly stalls.
The food that I am going to introduce today is a road side stall and it is located at the middle of Petaling Street. By the way, I have a cousin who stays in Selangor for more than 5 years and he is still unaware of such nice food in Petaling Street. Therefore, I have the urge that it is definitely a MUST to introduce the place to all of you.
The exact location of this stall is just opposite Restaurant Kim Lian Kee and Reggae Bar of Petaling Street.
In front of the stall you will see the Clara building and PSDN building.
While I was taking pictures of the porridge, there was someone doing some shooting on a chestnut stall behind me.
The crewman and also the artist in the red shirt… It could be another food introduction program again.
The stall of the day, Hon Kee Famous Porridge (汉记靓粥) has been selling raw fish porridge (鱼生粥) since 1959, just 2 years after Merdeka (Malaysia’s Independence Day). What a long history for this stall, not sure this has been passed down from how many generations.
The stall was so packed with patrons that we were unable to get a seat. In the end we sat at the stall beside which was not selling porridge but Chee Cheong Fun (猪肠粉) instead.
To be hornest, the Chee Choeng Fun (猪肠粉) was just so-so and nothing very special. If you have tasted Chee Cheong Fun at Genting Restaurant in Penang, this is really nothing to be compared with. Moreover, this Chee Cheong Fun didn’t even have any taste of shrimp paste.
Finally, the great raw fish porridge that I am referring to. The raw fish is cut into equal slices with ginger and Chinese celery to remove the staleness of the raw fish. The hot porridge is then sprinkled with spring onions which is a norm for Chinese porridge.
My advice on having this porridge is stir the porridge 5 to 6 times to disperse the heat so that the raw fish will not be overcooked. Place all the fish slices into the hot porridge and wait for 30 seconds and you will find yourself indulged into the freshness and juiciness of the fish fillets. Unless you prefer a raw and half-cooked fish, you can place the fillet in one by one but mind you that the heat of the porridge can only last for 10 minutes.
Yao Zha Guai (油条) can be ordered together with the porridge as a side dish which makes a great combination. With these 3 combination, the cost per pax is only RM6. It is very reasonable for Petaling standard.

One of the Penang Best Yam Rice @ Golden Lake Food Corner
July 17, 2008 – 7:38 am
Many times when people mention about yam rice, the immediate response is the Yam rice at Prai, Chai Leng Park. Actually, there are a few stores of Yam rice in Penang island itself which are very nice too. The one that I am going to introduce is located at Relau. The store is located in a hawker center at the junction between Maybank and Public Bank in Relau.
The name of the hawker center is called Golden Lake Food Corner. It is actually located by the corner lots. There are plenty of hawker delicacies in this food center.
One of the stalls that I recommend is the “Chai Yam Rice” (财芋饭). The stall is located on the right towards the end of the hawker center.

Delicious Hong Kong’s Food Culture @ Plaza Low Yat
July 11, 2008 – 9:05 am
I believe that most of us know where is Plaza Low Yat, in fact all the IT people should know this place is famous of having cheap and latest IT gadgets. However, this time I am not introducing any IT stuff in this post. Instead I am going to introduce a nice place for food just beside the entrance of Plaza Low Yat
The name of this restaurant is called Hong Kong’s Food Culture (港饮港食小卖部)。 Actually the front part of this restaurant is just a small lot if you didn’t look carefully, it just looks like another small hawker stall.
However, if you walk in closely you will see there is a staircase to basement that leads to a dining area with air conditioning.

Do You Believe Your Finger Prints Will Tell Your Character?
July 8, 2008 – 7:35 am
A lot of times, business proposition as well as successful of closing sales on certain deals are very much dependent on communication. Therefore effective communication is very important not just on the business aspect, but also between spouse, family members and also friends are very much rely on the effectiveness of communication. Bad communication will put a good relationship to a red light.
I have just been to a seminar today, it’s about an effective communication. All the while I thought effective communication is about soft skills and to understand what the customers want. However, after this course I really know that effective communication covers more than these. Now only I get to know that to effectively communicate with customers, first of all we need to understand his characteristic before we proceed to knowing his needs. As knowing his characteristic we can tune ourselves to their communcation channel.
Eventually, our fingerprint is actually mapped to our personal identification and this is called Dermatoglyphics. This means by reading your finger or palm prints, we can know that what kind of person you are. According to the Master, this study is actually scientifically proven.
For example, look at your left thumb and this is related to communication and networking skill. There are 4 types of main characteristics.

Bloggers, do you know how much is your blog worth? As a blogger, I always wonder how much my blog worth and how much is my market value?
For those of you that curious to find out how much your blog worth you can visit this link for more details:
http://www.business-opportunities.biz/projects/how-much-is-your-blog-worth/
Thanks to CazzyCazz for giving us such a good information about our blog value.
According to Business-opportunities.bz, His inspired by Tristan Louis’s research into the value of each link to Weblogs Inc, therefore he had created an applet using Technorati’s API which computes and displays pur blog’s worth using the same link to dollar ratio as the AOL-Weblogs Inc deal.
I am not sure how acurate the calculation is, I have checked for my blog value for 2 days in a roll and my value is very different.
Yesterday I have checked my blog value, is at $18,065.28. However, today I rechecked my value dropped. Is only worth $11,290.80. Not sure later on my blog will only worth $1.
Below are the link of some VIP bloggers and also my fella bloggers blogs value:
Kenny Sia- Your blog, kennysia.com, is worth $1,298,442.00 (As usual the top valued blogger, even a 7years old school kid will know how to login to KennySia.com)
Dr. Mahathir- Your blog, chedet.com, is worth $971,573.34 (This amount of money to Dr. M is nothing, his properties are 10 times even more than this)
5xmom - Your blog, 5xmom.com, is worth $81,858.30 (I always want to meet up in person with this fantastic mom. However no luck for me, even Penang is just a small Island.)
Merdurian- Your blog, merdurian.com, is worth $72,825.66 (Wah, just next to 5xmom. Anyway, sad to say that this girl is in DOTA online gaming instead of blogging. Not sure is she selling off her blog?)

July 2, 2008 – 10:42 am
It was just another usual day which I was not expecting any supprise as I was not testing out any new food or did a spot check on any restaurants. Nevertheless, I was having my dinner at Mc Donald’s in Greenlane. Usually, when visiting such places I will not take my camara along. Only my wallet and mobile phone will be my portables. But the unexpected always gives me surprise and this time is unexpectedly lucky.
A normal order of Big Mac as my dinner.

French & Japanese Lifestyle @ Bukit Tinggi
June 26, 2008 – 9:00 am
First of all, I need to apologise to all my readers as there had been a while since I updated my blog. Anyway, this is another post that will require your endless scrolling effort.
This is the trip to French Village and Japanese Tea Garden in Bukit Tinggi. Bukit Tinggi is now also known as Berjaya Hills Resort. The entrance to this hill resort is located at the middle of Kuala Lumpur-Kuantan highway.
Actually the air at Bukit Tinggi is not that cool compared to Genting Highlands. However, the surroundings make you feel just like in overseas and some of the views are exectly like the one we saw in RPG gaming world. Below are the views at French Village and Japanese Garden.
Path and walkway as if you are in Venice.
This spring fountain looks like HP replenish fountain in the RPG gaming.
Energy charging shop in RPG gaming, where you can get Lavender Spa.
Gazania, the logo which looks like the place for you to “save” your game journey.
